Around the World in 80 Words! is a feature I write for Dartford Living, a magazine based in Kent, UK. I look at a different part of the world and write 80 words (derived from the novel Around the World in Eighty Days) about it. In this post I write about Nantes:

Located on the Loire River, Nantes – Venice of the West – dates back to 70BC and shaped through thousands of years by Gauls, Saxons and Romans amongst others. The Chateau des Ducs de Bretagne and Basilica Saint-Nicholas are stunning architectural sights. Nantes’ History Museum offers a journey through Nantes’ past and the Talensac Market, Crebillon Street and Orleans Street offer great shopping. Place Royale and Place Graslin are beautiful historic squares that come alive with restaurants, bars and cafes.
